The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of persons on the autism spectrum disorder. We envision a society where Filipinos on the spectrum become the best of their potentials -- self-reliant, independent, productive, socially-accepted citizens of an Autism-OK Philippines.

Center for Autism Act An Act Establishing a Center for Autism and for Other Purposes

The current world population is 6.7 Billion. An estimated 67 million or 1% of the world population is on the autism spectrum (Click here and here to find out).

Using the estimate given, the global ratio is 1:150. In a population of 150 people, 1 will be on the autism spectrum.

According to the National Statistics Office, the current estimated Philippine population is 92.23 million. If we were to use this ratio to the Philippine demographic,

Filipinos with autism will be roughly 614,866.66!

With the alarming growth of the number of children diagnosed with autism each day, we earnestly urge our legislators to take cognizance of the plight of all Filipino families dealing with autism.

We, at ASP commit to work harder for the future of our loved ones with autism, Help us. Share our Hope and Build our Dreams.

All up to date data pertaining to autism is in an academic text recently published in Canada:

Autism: The Teratogen Fallout by Dr. Olga Graham

There are reviews on Amazon Books.

Essentially, this monograph shows the correlation between autism and teratogens including dioxin, benzene and strontium-90 etc.

Causation is discussed with empirical evidence from a case history with government documents never before published.

Because the ratio of autism is one in 165 (Canada) and one in 150 in America (CDC) and increasing, and it is shown that people with autism can be trained and educated by visiual methodology, there is a vital need for legislation to be passed so that those afflicted with autism have the opportunity of participating and contributing to society. Details with supberb documentation is covered in this book.

It is available from Amazon Books or http://autismfallout.com

Dr. Graham is now researching for a sequel:
Autism: Global Catastrophe and Human Rights.
