The TDK Philippines Corporation headed by its President Kenichiro Arimura sponsored the Sensory Room at the Biñan Elementary School (BES) SpEd Center last 16 April 2015. Present on the happy occasion were Biñan City Mayor Marlyn Alonte-Naguiat, Division Superintendent Marites A. Ibanez, District Supervisor Mary Ann L. Tatlongmaria and BES Principal Pilar I. De Castro, ASP Biñan Chapter President Carolyn Souza Sumague and TDK Philippines officers. ASP Biñan Chapter will be among those who will benefit from a sensory room, designed to develop a special learners' sense through special music, materials and colors. The room is an effective therapy environment for children with various exceptionalities.

The Chapter hosted its first seminar on Sensory Integration and Behavior Modification Techniques for Children with Special Needs last 23 May 2015.

The Chapter facilitated the donation of three (3) sets of brand new computer to the SpEd School of Biñan from the Supreme Student Council of University of Perpetual Help-Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University -- via the efforts of Carlos Miguel S. Sumague, 5th Year BSOT and VP-External Affairs of the organization.

About the contributor: Carolyn Sumague is a housewife and mother to two boys. Mommy Carol, as she is fondly called by her friends, is a graduate of computer programming and a desktop publishing artist. She devotes most of her energies to the care of her family, especially PWA Karl; and to her duties as ASP Biñan Chapter President.
