The Autism Society Philippines (ASP) is proud to announce the launch of our new logo as part of the ongoing evolution of our advocacy. Founded in 1989, the ASP has gone through many organizational changes and operational innovations over the last thirty-three years; and the long-overdue refresh of our logo and our brand assets aims to reflect who we are today and to symbolize our future.
- THE FAMILY. ASP's original logo focused on the heart of our advocacy -- the family. The three figures locked in an embrace were styled into minimalist elements.
- THE LOOP. The interwoven, continuous visual represents our aspiration to engage stakeholders in mutually-empowering partnerships and programs, to work continuously and together towards our vision of building an Autism-OK Philippines.
- THE GREEN. Green is retained as the main color to represent hope. The shades of green and orange were introduced to represent our organization's maturity as an autism advocacy organization, our continued commitment to service, and our passion for impactful innovation. A splash of orange embodies opening up to new and better things.
- THE BOLDER TYPOGRAPHY. The logotype has been updated to a bolder font -- more easily readable, whether in small or large renders.
The ASP collaborated with Canva, a leading graphic design web platform, through the Canva Nonprofit Design Salon. Canva PH Design team members volunteered to solve ASP design challenges preceded by discovery, benchmarking, and consultation. The effort resulted in the development of our new logo and the ASP Brand Guidelines and Toolkit which will help ASP design stakeholders nationwide develop compelling materials using the Canva platform that are consistent with ASP branding.
In the upcoming months, the ASP looks forward to rolling out an ASP Brand Seminar to educate our internal stakeholders on how to use the new tools. We will update our branding on digital and physical assets and hope to complete the process before the end of the year.
Big thanks to volunteers Herald Briones, Clare Magno, and Team Canva: Camille Armas, Neil Zapanta, Kate Ang, Bella Esguerra, Andee Torres, Jianine Cerrada, Cheska Pangilinan, Cady Bucu-Flores, and Katrine Sales for joining us in our redesign journey!
